Huawei Kenya To Award Students in ICT Competition
Leading phone manufacture Huawei Mobile Kenya is today (20th November 2018) set to award the 11 Kenya finalists, who will thereafter get an opportunity to compete for the global title alongside finalists from other countries.
This follows a recently held competition aimed at driving the development of high-quality ICT talent, which attracted over 4,000 students from over 40 universities and colleges in Kenya.
In May this year Huawei held a similar completion in China where it awarded two first prizes to teams from the Shenzhen Institute of Information Technology and Shenzhen Polytechnic.
The competition, which took place at the Shenzhen headquarters, attracted over 40,000 participants from more than 800 universities and colleges in 32 countries, including: China, U.K., Spain, Italy, Russia, Australia, Mexico, South Africa, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, Pakistan, and India.
Huawei has developed a comprehensive range of ICT career certifications based on its industry leading technologies and global practices. The Huawei ICT Academy program includes the following certification paths: HCNA/P-R&S, HCNA/P-WLAN, HCNA/P-Security, HCNA/P-Storage and HCNA/P-Cloud Computing, and is expanding.
All the best to the finalists.
